I need some help here bad every so often my check engine light comes on and when i scan it the computer says p1153 2 times and like air fuel metering or something what does this mean???? Any help here would be great!

Is it an after-market exhaust? that code has to do with your O2 sensors
I havent messed with my exhaust, but i do know there in an issue with O2 sensors if you put on a new one, so get that checked out.
Yea i have slp headers and a catted 3" y pipe at the moment but the thing is i just put in 4 new o2 sensors not too long ago so i cant see why it would be them it has to be somethin more involved???????
I'm guessing this is on your 2001 Camaro SS
The code is for the bank 2(passenger side) pre-cat o2 sensor. Basically its not switching from lean to rich fast enough. Its acting lazy and not cross counting enough.
Here's some clues from the DTC chart. Anything here ring a bell??
An exhaust leak 6-12 inches from the O2 sensor can cause this DTC to set
Certain RTV silicone gasket materials release vapors that can contaminate the O2 Sensors. Silicone in the fuel can also cause silicone contamination. If the sensors appear to be silicone-contaminated, and if all the silicone sealant is a non-silicone base, advise the customer to try a different fuel company. A missing fuel filler restrictor indicates that the customer may have used leaded fuel.
the cause of the contamination could be the issue. Inspect for the following conditions:
• Fuel contamination
• Use of an improper RTV sealant
• Engine oil or coolant consumption
Inspect for damaged wiring
Yea it is my camaro thanks ill see what i can do the car runs really strong so i dont think there is anything wrong and it has a bran new crate motor with 16,000 miles on it so far...
