tail light lens question
it seems as though along the top of my tail light the lens is starting to separate. is there any way to fix this? does this make sense? i tried snapping a couple of photos on my cell phone, but they are not too clear. ive checked out other camaros in parking lots have seen this happen to them as well.

mine did that, they looked just like that. i bought a used set on ebay, they do the same thing. I think its just something we have to live with.
if it is fixable, im all ears

these tail lights i got from ebay as well.
after doing some more internet sloothing, im thinking about trying to seperate the lens from the rest of the housing by baking in an oven, then reseal the lens. maybe this would fix it. this weekend i may do a quick trial run with a heat gun. i will keep you posted.

sweet dude, if it works id definitely try it, im pretty sure my old set is still in the garage.

i havent yet - i will try this tonight. my daily driver was in need of repairs, so i was spending my time getting that up and running again.
i will first try to use a heat gun to re-melt the adhesive. if that doesnt work, then ill try the oven.

I have the same problem with my lense.
curious as well if it works out to separate them in the oven

havent done the oven yet, but i did try the heat gun. i learned something new - DONT USE A HEAT GUN ON A TAIL LIGHT!
on one lens, i have a couple areas that had the whitish color because of the plastic separation. i used the heat gun on one of the spots. within about 4 seconds, the white area shot over another inch! because of this i was gun shy to continue with the heat. i might take the light off and apply the heat to the back side in hoping to heat the glue before heating the lens.
on to round 2.
