A-town is short for Atascadero, a little town with about 26k ppl. It is located in San Luis Obispo county, which is in central coast California. It is approx. 220 miles from LA and 220 miles from San Fran. Yes, dead smack in the middle. It is about 16 miles from the Pacific Ocean.
