Whats needed to swap in a 383 stroker motor? I mean what do I need to do to my TA to run this motor?
Stroker crank.
Rods.
Pistons.
And a builder that knows how to manage the wrist pin issue with a longer stroked LS1 block.
Well I dont exactly mean that. What I meant was after the block is built what modifications do I have to make to the car for it to work? For example the stock fuel injection system can still be used? Or what about having a stock transmission etc. I understand that the drivetrain needs to be upgraded dont get me wrong but that would all be done before the motor is even thought about.
It really depends on how far you go.
I would at least upgrade fuel pump. Might be pushing the injectors.
Stock A4 isn't going to like it much, stock M6 is fairly stout.
I have to upgrade the fuel pump for the Supercharger I will be running what do you suggest? Also 42lb injectors should suffice correct?
Again...it all depends on how big you go.
A blown 383 may require dual in-tank pumps.
yea I hear ya, well jsut curious what would you use on a blown stock ls1?
dont mean to thread hijack but i am looking into doing the same soon.. i found the eagle kit... its 2873 and the compression is 10.4, stroke is 4" rod length 6.2", bore... i cant remember think it was 3.93 or something like that... all forged parts... sounds decent to me since the lunati is a 8400 dollar kit:dot:
525 rwhp is what i want I will be running a vortech supercharger, full exhaust msd blaster coils, powercooler. Forged Rods, Forged Pistons 10:1 compression stock bottom end. Cam might change but as of right now its stock.
