My fingers still smell like fish
For the fishermen out there. :usa:
Went fishing today for the first time of 2008. Was cool out, but decent weather except the wind (and the windchill). There was a bass tourny tomorrow I heard, so everyone was out there looking for the best spots for tomorrow - but I'm not in the tourny, I was just there looking for some yummy fish and fun.
I had no luck at the lake. Only thing I caught out there today was a small 18 inch Muskie (which is still cool, but isn't large enough to keep and eat). Had some nasty 1/2 inch razor sharp teeth.

Didn't bother to weight him, just measured the length. I put him back in.
We finally gave up on the lake today - I didn't see any other boats bring anything in either, and everyone I talked to said they had no bites either. So... I hit the 'little lakes' and went private with our own spot.
MUCH better. Took a while to find what part of the lake they were hot in, but I found them. Reeled in some bass this time and got one pretty nice one in the bunch.

She weighed in at just over 4 lbs. :woot: Which is pretty good for here.
So tomorrow night, I'm having quite the feast. :lol: Got lucky too, just about all of them had eggs! They are great fried, I don't care if you think it's yucky. :p
Just thought I'd share. My fingers still smell like those fish I caught today.. :D Ahhh spring is here, finally - was a GOOD Friday.
