Where's a cheap place to get the polished inserts that go in the hood and on the side of the car. I've found some but it was like 95 for the hood and 65 for the sides. That seems way overpriced.

The problem is you get what you pay for. Buy cheap ones --and they won't last
i have seen them on ebay. i just painted mine.
TheSilverSurfer is right-you get what you pay for! The more expensive inserts are usually polished stainless steel and have a chrome/mirror look to them. Needless to say, they won't rust out, which is a big problem with cheaper ones that aren't high quality metal since they are exposed to the environment any time you drive the car...
Also, a lot of the cheaper ones are made of acrylic, aka plastic, and can easily crack...

Those look cool, but I think chrome inserts would look funny on pewter. :D

he used to sponsor here. Before I got into doing emblems for people-I had my old car covered with his acrylic stuff. He's a very genuine business man, too.
take your painted plastic pieces and put them in that toliet in the picture. I hate spray paint, only ricers, and stupid kids paint there bicycles with it. Take some paint remover to them asap. Spend the money and get the good high quality stainless ones. Look on E-bay you will find many diffrent people selling them.
Wait a min why do you have a toliet in your yard? The one inside dosen't work or something?
Actually, they look really good on pewter IMO! I personally think the acrylic, aka PLASTIC, ones don't look nearly as nice as the stainless steel. I have the stainless steel ram air covers & side extractor covers on my pewter WS6 and it really adds to the overall appearance. If you look at my profile, you can somewhat see the ram air covers in my pic--the angle the car is at doesn't give you a full view though.
A. they weren't rattle canned, my uncle who owns his bodyshop painted them for me.
B. Not all of us have 75 bucks layin round, so ill stick whith the free/cheap way about it, yea they may not look like a showcar but i've gotten quite a few compliments on them.
C. There is a Toilet there cuz we were in the middle of remodeling a schoolhouse for our home.
