You gotta sleeve it to bore it that much I do believe.
On that mill, all you can go is 383 cubes. Anything else and you will need a ls2/6.0L iron block, to go a stroker.
after further research i found that the 406 stroker was 6.0l i did order a stroker kit for a 383 thanks guys
I just finished my 396 stroker, thats with a 3.903 bore on a stock LS6 block. I used a 4.125 crank your 383 uses a 4.000 stroke
Eagle makes a 393 stroker kit
you got yur kit from eagle? did you have to dao any clearancing? anything special you have to do.
Thats cool that you can stroke it that much out on that bore. Only down side is that its not a square motor. I wonder if there will be any type of premature wear issues. I bet the liners had to be cleared for the connecting rods.
how much hp will a stock ls1 block hold before grenading?
no premature ware, thats why I used 6.250 rods, for the rod angle to the cylinder wall. thats also why Eagle uses a 6.200 rod on there 393 stroker kits
I used a Callies crank, lunati rods and pistons
12 psi of boost on a stock motor and #4 piston broke and cracked the liner and the block.12 psi was not smart on my part -- --- 402 stroker with forged internals is the next stop.
