Blown LS1 (The bad kind of blown)
So it finally happened :( First it was a little dinging sound, then it got louder and when I looked down to notice there was no oil pressure it siezed up. With regular oil changes and maintenance with nothing done to the motor except a replaced water pump about 100,000 miles ago, it finally died at 211,347 miles. I figure its not to bad considering theis motor was floggd every day, I mean, i have driven every car ive ever had into the ground, but this cars seen more $h1t then a toilet. From race day all day long and then a drive home, Paducah to Nashville in under 45, long stretches of interstate with the cruise set upwards of 140 (for hours), pulling fullsize trucks framed out in the mud back to town, to other thigs like delivering pizza every day for 3 years, decimating sportbikes just to see the looks on their faces, countless fords... this is a testament to the durability of a generation 3 gm engine. GM, I salute you :usa:
And i cant wait to build another one.
Whats the high score for LS1 mileage these days anyway?
