For a 2 stage paint job$2000 minimum and $2500-3000 would be the norm. You could always paint just the hood and bumper(like you mentioned) and buy a good polish like Menzerna to make the rest of the car look newer/match the new paint.
I dunno anything about paint jobs, so stage 2 doesnt mean much to me, you also have to remember i live bum fuck egypt, we have rednecks with spray guns. my roommate wrecked his Mazda 6, the dealership is only charging $750
a 2 stage paint job simply means a base coat(the color) + the clear coat (the clear part that goes on over the paint) Perhaps you could get a cheaper job done where you live $1200.00 but I really dont see it getting any cheaper than that if you want a good job done.
well thats a bitch, how much for just the hood and bumper
At least $250- If you see a car thats been painted and it looks good-ask the owner where he got it done or if you go to a place for an estimate- ask to see some of their work. Yeah its not cheap unless you know someone who has access to a paint booth and equiptment. Like anything the labor is what costs so much.
i had a previous car painted at macco when they were running one of those "paint your whole car for only $300ish" wow, i really got what i paid for. gritty paint, a lot of overspray and the finishing touch, they painted OVER my pinstripes.
I asked B&B Body & Paint when I had my driver side rear quarter panel repaired because some lady backed into me. They said to do the hood and front bumper would only be $1,200 which includes filling in the knicks. Oh, they did an awesome job on the quarter panel. They also had to reclear the rear bumper, looks awesome also.
I recommend them and if I ever have to, will use them again.
Thanks for the advice, I know this guy, im pretty sure he never leaves the woods, and its obvious hes been in the paint booth wwaaaaayyyy too long without a respirator, but he does good work, hes a friend of the family, hes done 4 generations of work for us, mine, my parents, grandparents and great grandparents. he does body work on the side, only for friends, but i once saw him take two cars, one had been rear ended, the other did the rear ending, cut them apart, and put the good halves together, looked flawless when he was done, it was some kind of saturn. He wouldnt charge me too much on labor, but i know materials can get costly.
Dude I would say the most for primer/paint/clear for materials would be $300 I would go with DUpont if possible or House of Kolor.
Just get some krylon and paint it camo- that looks quality.
well im getting my rear bumper repainted, front bumper repainted, and my berser panel painted black for 375. that's clear coat and all. the dude does quality work too.
