Just curious, if the intake manifold has no EGR, does that mean its an LS6 manifold? Or is there some LS1 manifold that dont have EGR? just curious because i called a wrecking yard and they said they have manifolds that came off a 2000 or 2001 corvette. thanks for any input
It was somewere around that time when they figured out how to get around the egr but I dont know about ls1 without egr.
The real way to know whether it is ls6 is by part number or by looking at the bottom of the intake.
the ls1 has a hump down the middle with a little valley on each side ,and the ls6 is flat all the way accross.
sorry I dont know the part numbers right off the top of my head but google should have it,or search these threads
your best bet is to go by part numbers.....there were some vette intakes that were LS1's without the EGR ports if I'm not mistaken.
they gave me the part number, here it is PN# 12556333

The Vette LS1 intakes had no EGR provision. Orion has already stated the way to find out for sure.
