alright well i was wondering.... on my LT1 firebird i have the grey button controls on both sides, and i was just gonna see if anyone has torn in to them to change the bulb inside to a different color... i would like to change this out when i change my gauges and HVAC and headlight switch bulbs, cuz it just wouldnt look right to have those red with the rest of the car blue...

alright, but do i do the same thing for my lt1 controls, which are in different positions and each of the buttons are lit up by their own bulb?
I believe it would be the same principal, as long as your buttons do not have any color built into them then you just need to replace the bulbs with whatever color LEDs you want and dont forget to add a resistor to the power wire going to them.
My controls had only 2 bulbs each in them covered with a red rubber cap. I wound up putting 3 blue LEDs in each to get an even light pattern, then put my resistor in the gray wire under the dash that goes up the column feeding them.
k well sometime i will take my buttons off and take pics of the insides to see if anyone has any idea of how to tear into them without breaking anything... im just scared to try to take plastic apart and crack or break it and have problems after that
