Saving Gas milage?

I recently upgraded my '02 WS6 with a Corsa and a SLP lid. Am I saving on gas milage? My car gets an average of 250 miles per tank. Stock, I used to drive from NJ to VA 250 miles one way, and I would still have a quater tank left. I haven't done that since the mods (since my GF graduated college) but still it seems like I am losing milage around where I live, which isn't too much stop and go. :shrug:

I usually run about 300+ miles per tank, it usually averages out to about 22-26 mpg depending on how hard its driven.

yall both doing better than me i was getting 245 ish with a 1/8 left before mods and now 185ish to 1/4...maybe its the way i drive or just because its mostly back roads and that i love to speed..and race:love:

I get pretty much 22mpg on every tank. That's a mix of highway and city driving several WOT runs through the gears each tank. The most I've gotten was 26.5 which was mostly highway. I didn't really notice any difference between stock and my current mods (in sig). I'm pretty impressed with the efficiency of the LS platform.

I was getting about 17 mpg, but that is almost entirely city driving (approx. 16 lights/stop signs one-way to work). I just went through my first tank after adding my SLP Loudmouth I and I can already tell my MPG's have improved some. I'll calculate it tomorrow.

FYI, going by "miles driven per tank" isn't good for comparison purposes if you have a 1998 like me because 98's had a 15.5 gallon tank and 99-02 had a 16.8 gallon tank. I only get a little over 200 miles on a tank (city driving).

Right. I hate using "miles per tank". Some people are religious about it not getting past 1/4, others drive around with the low fuel light on for 3 days.

I just checked my mileage when I filled up today, I got 22.5. Stock A4 with 2.73 gears.

To do a comparison of miles per gallon, fill your tank next time you get gas, and reset your trip meter. Then, when you need gas after that, fill it up again. Divide the miles you went by the number of gallons it took to fill it, and that will be your MPG.
