Which LCAs ?

I think my next mod will be a set of Lower control arms and relocation brackets. This is mostly since I am having a bit of wheel hop issues. Does anyone have any feedback on which brands would be best ? I am leaning towards and adjustable set, boxed if I can find it, and would like something that could work when I upgrade my rearend (to what is undecided, that is a project for the future).

I got my lca's off ebay by hotparts.com which is made by J&M products which is a sponser here. The lca's brackets I have are BMR bolt on's. If your looking for all out performance Adjustable is the way to go.

UMI, Spohn, BMR, and Hotchkis are nice. I have Hotchkis but have been looking to go with UMI.

I have mostly UMI suspension parts.

I don't know about needing adjustables with a 12 bolt or stock rear end. Adjustables are really only if you have issues centering a larger rearend, like I did with my Moser 9".

Well the next upgrade after these will either be a clutch or rear end. Depends on which goes out first. I have not decided yet which rear I will get. That is research for another time :)

Thanks for the feedback guys. Was easy to find out that LCAs are a good thing, but no one talked about specifics. Please keep anymore comments coming.

open up the jegs catolog and look at the lakewood brand they are boxed and suposedly boxed are stronger than tubular, and they are only $89, my buddy has them and loves em.

i have SJM chromolys...not boed but very beefy and very light and very great quality

I would suggest getting a LCA that has a bushing on one end, and solid on the other. My car puts down roughly 450RWHP, and I can feel the rear end "check" itself (the rear of the car sways when unloading reloading between shifts). I will be looking for a new set of LCAs to replace my bushings on both end BMRs in the spring...

To their credit tho, they did eliminate my wheel hop issues during 2nd gear shifts...

I have all UMI on my car (sfc's, lca's, lca brackets, A arms, Adj. panhard rod, wonderbar).

The product is VERY well made, good solid welds. The parts look beefy and solid. The sfc's are rectangle and not round for more support.

I have never heard anything negative about the company on any board.

I'm not knocking Spohn or othercompanies but I have been very happy with the UMI quality.

Yeah, I agree. My SFCs from UMI shocked me every step of the way from how they came packaged VERY well, the even coverage of the powder coating, the quality of the welds on the parts. Hard to go wrong with UMI for sure.
