High Mileage Modding
So, ol' girl is rounding the big 180. I'm finally starting to make more dough and want to start modding. My goal is a 383 stroker H/C with full bolt-ons, Moser 12 bolt, about 1.5k in suspension, and a 4l80e. Not going crazy but just something to add a little umph.
What are going to be the complications with my plans on a 180k mile LS1? Any suggestions? I should/shouldn't do?
Ex. While you have the ______ off I'd change out the ______.
Thanks a lot guys.
(P.S. I just got a pretty nice raise, booya)

you pretty much summed it up.

While you have the car apart I'd change out the everything:yup:

I'd say the 12 bolt is the most important thing. I'm afraid to even race someone at red lights now because at 155k miles I've noticed my rear needs to be replaced.
I have been planning on changing mine out, but going to wait until early next year and after I get a cold air intake made and an exhaust.

i say since that high i would just buy a complet motor set up from a reputal builder ( in your 383 or even in the 400's) for 6000$ + , which whould be a lil more to build your motor but at least you know its new and fresh, and buy a newe 12 bolt caseu it will be a must for that set up.
but IMO with those miles in the long run i honestly think that is the time to go big witha fresh start of a motor,
