Quick question, does the SLP loudmouth rob an 01 SS of any horsepower???
I wouldn't think so, enless maybe it was installed backwards. I don't know if it is possable on a loud mouth. You would be suprised how many mufflers I have seen installed backwards.
You might lose lowend because the loudmouth is probably one of the most freeflowing exhaust systems available but I doubt you lost, more likely gained especially in the mid to upper rpms. I could be wrong but in my experience, when I had my camaro, I had the stock muffler cut off and did the dynomouth mod (like the loudmouth except with a race muffler compared to a resonator) to stock piping and my car had gained an noticable increase.Quote:

thanks to all...
Down low you definately lost, in our quest for more horsepower and free flowing exaust we loose back pressure wich is vital to torque at low speeds, However in high RPM action you should have gained in both areas across the board above 2500 RPM.
How would you guys describe the effect of LM on an LT1? Felt like I got more power down low, less up high.
On my 2000 Camaro SS i have headers and the LM, might be a little soft off idle but really pulls from 2000 up.
