If you could do it all over again, which bolt on would you add first, second, third etc?
I want to keep it California Smog legal, and don't want to change the internals. I'm changing all the fluids, what can I bolt on to this beast to pump up the HP even more, and get the biggest bang for my bucks?
Already has the SLP airbox with the Firehawk package.
And then a Dyno tune, of course.
i would do headers, and a nice NX kit and go with a 125 shot
To stay smog legal. I would stick with lid, ported tb, underdrive pulley, catback cated y-pipe. Then I would look for some smog legal shorty headers in the for sale section for cheap, I would not buy them new not nearly worth the price but for $100-$200 used there not a terrible deal.
I wouldnt waste money or shorty's, dont the 01-02 manifolds flow about the same?
How about running stock Vette manifolds? I read they are good for 10HP over the F-body manifolds, but I don't know how well they fit. They look a little longer so you'd have to have them connected to the cats, but I think they would be the way to go seeing you can get them cheap. Here's link to some on ebay.

First a high flow muffler,second buy a wet nitrous kit,third get a good tune.
NO other mods will be anywhere near that bang for your buck improvement.
Next buy a real pair of drad radials cause you'll need them.
That will make you have a mid to low 12 second car....:true:
the 00+ fbods got a better exhaust manifold, just get an Off raod Y-pipe without cats and when its time for the smog test suap in your stock one its not that hard to do, free mods, ported throtle body, underdrive pulley, catback, 160 degree thermostat, and tune. Dont forget about your suspension, get rear lower control arms, panhard, torque arm, and sub frame conectors this will help get more traction
Lca's and tq. arm and panhard won't be needed unless you put big bottle!Quote:

The 160 thermostat we have discused in much detail......Don't waste your time! Get a real tuner on the car for the fan settings and a 185 will be fine or even stock for that matter.
If you want to be really cheap.. Extend your slp ram air by building another box that connects to the slp box out of thick sheet metal. Curve the edges too. You can catch more air that way. It was pretty simple to do.
For me I am going to do the SFCs first then some long tubes and dual exhaust. I am choosing to do the SFCs first so that the exhaust guys can route things with the SFC in place. Then of course a nice tune should be needed :)
the Lca's and T/A will help him because he has an M6 and its better to get them out of the way for future mods, and if you are going to buy a 185 might aswell get a 160 they dont do anything without a tune but he did say he was getting a tune :hmm:Quote:
