I took out the headlights when i installed mine. I was told you can do it from under the car, but i have yet to see that done. All you have to do is unbolt the headlight and take it out. You will have all the room you need to put them in.
thanks. will go that route. i was thinking that would be the way.
the only way to do it is to take your headlights out. Its easy, 1 10 mm bolt remove your bulb electrical clips and slide headlight assembly inboard to release the 2 clips and they will come out. about a 2 minute process. It then gives you all the access you need.
Removing the headlights and doing it from the top is definitely the best was Brian. I did a write up somewhere on here but no I don't recall where. There are 3 7mm bolts in the turnsignals and you have to work them out. Be sure to drill some holes in the bottom of the clear ones to let moisture out as well or you will be blowing bulbs left and right.
I got some smoked turnsignals and sidemarkers on the way myself. I want to try them out and see if I like them better than the clears with my color scheme.
If you do a write up on this, I can put it in the Museum :D
all done...well crap minus the drilling holes part...:cuss:
i was doing this as you posted this...
forgot the camera, so no pics...
subscribed. that way u dont have to pm them to me.
as long as u post before and after pics right next to each other
not weird, P. i have saved every single stock part off my car...
here are some pics of the clear corners. first pic is this morning before the front of the SS was lowered, the second is after the car was completely lowered...

and to my surprise, RPM had a new, not installed TSP True Dual setup that I bought off them for $300. Here is it is w/sweet thunder resonators. rest of the parts are in the box underneath...

That is going to sound so sweet Brian. Thats what my exhaust is more or less, a pair of Sweet Thunders which is what the GMMGs are :D
The clears look real good as well, so much better than the amber turnsignals IMO. There are certain colors that the amber works better than smoked/clear though, SOM and hugger.
Thanks. Oh, I looked closer at the lenses today and noticed that there is already a hole in them to let out moisture, etc...
Ill try to grab you a pic to show you the location of it...
the jackass i got my lenses from said bulbs would be included. they werent, so i got to buy the amber bulbs. i sent him emails and no response. looks like negative feedback time for him...
Thats cool that the holes were already drilled, aftermarket parts are advancing their tech :rotfl:
Neg. rep his ass for no bulbs :growl:
I know its different circumstances, but I have always run clear bulbs in mine with no hassles/issues. I don't drive mine near as often as you though.
before pics?
idk... im not sure which ones i like better honestly.
i like the clears. it matches the headlights...
yea. they do. lol... very nice either way tho man. im personally a big fan of the headlights with the black outline especialyl on black or red cars.... ever considered that?
yeah, thats the whisper mod. i dont think it would look good on my car. thats too much black for me...lol
