Springfield XD .40

Just bought my first handgun. Just put about 75 rounds through it. Gun had about 10 rounds threw it, I got it for 350 bucks. I love it.

Any thoughts on Springfield pistols? I absolutly love this pistol. And for 350 bucks, brand new, I love it that much more.

12 round clip, one in chamber. Even though I could not for the life of me get the last two rounds in the clips.

i want to buy a pistol, and im not sure why

its cool and all but honestly whats the point of having one?? ( cool, incase someone brakes in, your in a gang, you live in the hood)??

Gun clubs, going to the range, and sure, never know when the crazy rapist is gonna break in your home a try to skull fuck everyone.

yeah but other than going to the range i dont see what else you could do with them other than looking like a badass

shootin pests in your front yard, I have been haulin around my dads ruger mark 2 22 with 4" bull barrel, pretty fun to plink with

Young'n , I think your gonna come to find millions of people own handguns in the country. Whether they live in the country like me, and wanna go shoot behind there house.... or like to go to the range. It really doesn't matter.

My guess is you have never shot a gun before.

I have a 9mm and a .45 revolver. I am wanting to get either a .40 or .45 Springfield myself by the end of year as well. How did you get such a good deal on that one?

Looked at a couple of those.

But this .40 cal was just to good of a deal to pass up.

im glad this was posted as I want to get into handguns. For absolutely no violent reasons, i actually never liked guns. But I wanna go to the range and blow shit up, target practice etc. I'm fascinated by the skill of being able to hit various targets and accuracy. Problem is in New Jersey they make it real hard to LEGALLY obtain a handgun. The only way I'd ever buy one is legit. if i cant buy it in a store, i wont buy it at all.

Is that 40 cal hard for a beginner to shoot? i got a real strong grip but i dont wanna get in over my head with a new handgun but i also dont wanna find out i'm a crackshot and i bought a gun that is "underpowered". remember, i wanna see stuff break apart cause of the powa!

The XD's are great pistols. Especially for the money. Good choice on the two tone black and OD green. I personally prefer my guns to be made of metal though :) Man CamaroDude if you think he has no reason to own that what do you think about this one? :Poke:

.40 isn't hard to shoot at all to shoot. Really, I dont think any hand gun is difficult to shoot. Well, maybe my supervisor's .500 MAG S&W. That is a big boy hand gun.

If you are worried about an under powered pistol, Id steer clear of 9mm. Though the rounds are the cheapest, and if your really just trying to get a good shot, it wouldnt be a bad idea.

I agree 310, I really enjoy trying to be a good shot. It is very difficult to hit a target from even 25 yards.

Thats why I love kansas, we can carry a loaded weapon in our vehicles at all times, except school property. we can even shoot varmints from your vehicle if you have permission to hunt from the owners on both sides.

another question, do they have a gun safety course i can take? i dont wanna hurt anyone including myself.

when i get mine ill be getting my .50 cal
