Diablosport Predator Tune

I just got my Diablo predator today and installed a performance tune that a guy on another forum ( I won't name names) gave me. This guy has developed and worked on NASCAR Busch Series engines. He took six months of playing around with the Predator to get this tune:

WOT Fuel Mixture
2K-4K +8% Rich
4K-7K +5% Rich


WOT Spark Advance
2K-4K +2% Advance in Winter (Use 1% in Summer)
4K-7K +6% Timing


Idle
Drive:w/o AC +50

Fan On/Off Temps for 160/180 Thermostat
Fan 1 OFF 191.x

Just wanted to share this with all you Predator program owners. This is one BAD ASS tune. I haven't had it tested, so I cannot make definitive statements about HP and Torque, but it is a vast improvement from the stock settings. I only have a K&N CAI on my GTO along with my tune and the GOAT is now officially One Bad GOAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My stock exhaust has a much more muscular tone and the LS1 is alive!!!!!!!!!! She really SHITS AND GETS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let me know what ya'll think of the tune and post your replies. Good Luck!!:cheers::cheers::cheers:

Oh....I forgot to mention this, but this tune is for the LS1 04 GTO. I guess you could try it on an Ls2, but I don't think it will work because the stock tuning is different between an LS1 and LS2. Just wanted to mention that so I don't get replies about the tune sucking because it was used on an LS2 and not LS1 GOAT. Thanks!!!!!!

Hell Yea!!!!! I've been out all day(well since I got off work) laying patches of rubber all over town!!! I'm really impressed with the tune. The Guy I got it from really knows cars and engines and plus he took a lot of time in getting this tune. I was tempted to not buy the Predator, but when I talked to him he made it seem worth it and let me tell you it is truly worth the bills I spent on it.

well i was scared to mess with the wot spark advance and stuff but i believe i will now

Been running that tune for a while now myself thanks to the same nameless tuner. and it does work great.

i have an 04 gto and teh slp diablo predator, and i can not raise my wot that high it wont let me
5 on the wot 2k-4k
and 3 on teh 4k-7k
and unable to advance timing at all

You might not have the new software. My Predator is brand spankin' new and has all the most recent software on it. If you have the adapter to connect your Predator to your computer I would go to diablosport.com and download the new software. I was on the website on Tuesday and they do have new updates for those of you who don't have the latest Predator.

I thought that us 04's had to send our tool in to Diablosport for updates?

Just went to the website and it does say that the GM Predator for 2004-2005 does not accept remote upgrades, but that future models may have this ability. There is a revision for the 04 GTO Predator, but I guess you would have to send it back to them to get the upgrade. I would call them and see if that is the case and look for a dealer near you that may be able to do this on premises. I don't know if they do that, but it is worth checking into. Just an FYI.

This is a new tune altogether. Just go into modify parameters and select performance tune and adjust the settings accordingly.

um well my diablo is about 10 days old if that i had to wait on it a month because there were on back order so thats about as new as it can get im thinking do u have the slp version??

No i don't have the SLP Predator. Maybe that is why. I ordered mine from pfyc.com. I think SLP only puts thier tunes on it and don't allow for all the parameters to be adjusted. I could be wrong though. I would recomend contacting SLP to find out why you cannot modify all parameters.

Should I down Load my stock tune back and and than got to the permformace tune?? How does this tune that you have compare to the permformace tune that is in tunner

Yea that is probably a good idea to reset stock settings and then modify parameters under the performance setting under modify parameters. As for this tune compared to the Predator performance tune, I would say screw the Predator performance tune and use this. The LS1 just seems to really come alive with this tune. GOT1GOAT has also been using this tune and likes it as well. This tune came from a guy who developed NASCAR Busch series engines. He played with the Predator for 6 months using the data log to put together the best tune for the LS1 GOAT. I think I would go with this tune just because this guy developed these engines for 20 years and those engines are all about being the baddest on the planet. Just my 2 cents homie!!! i can modify the parameters just not as much as the sparka nd fuel say to on this tune im going get a custom tune later when i get done with all my mods

Installed the tune last night. I had the preformace tune from the tuner before.
I drove it to work today let her warm up and let her rip. Whoa baby hang on tight. Wake up baby. She rips hard. Nice tune,:eek2: daddy likey

I was just wondering if anybody has any input on the superchips microtuner ,looks like its close to what the preadator does.But any negative or positive or which one is better iam leaning more towards the preadator but i can get a good deal on the superchips microtuner about. Thanks
