I am putting my stock monsoon back in (purist here!) and noticed that it seems like my antenna lead would NOT fit into my monsoon radio, is their some sort of adapter that is missing? IE; A right angled adapter or some sort of adapter/ reducer? The plug on the antenna lead will not fit into the socket on the radio...WTF?
the antenna should fit right back in unless you had an aftermarket deck in there before. than there is an adaptor on it that you just pull off to get back to stock size.
I re-installed the o/e Monsoon unit and tried to plug the o/e antenna harness (I assume!) back in and it would not go in, in fact, I broke the male plug loose on the harness trying to get it in...wtf!! :hmm:
oh man, dont know what else to tell you unless you had a picture of the antenna end, sounds like you might need to get a replacement :hmm:
OK, FYI, the stock gm antenna mast plug is SMALLER than a pioneer or aftermarket antenna plug, the monsoon radio accepts this smaller plug only and does not fit most radios like a pioneer radio plug...end of story.
