I have heard that running top mount twin turbo system on a c5 corvette generates quite a lot of heat. I am considering a top mount system and if this is the case maybe I'll go with a supercharger.

well.....there will be heat because you're taking the exhaust and putting it directly to the turbos.....it can get a little warm....but if you get some wraps and cover the pipes and a turbo cover it will drop it dramatically......I mean you could always go supercharger but I think you'd love a turbo......dont have to worry about a belt coming off and in my opinion....they make more usuable power....
Thanks for the input. I'm sure that exhaust wraps would work but man are they ugly and takes away from looks of the engine and turbos. Maybe coating the pipes would help. I live in Arizona where it's about a 1000 degrees in the shade and any excess heat in the engine compartment is a problem. Anyway, I'll give it some more thought. Maybe someone else has and idea or an oppinion.
You could always coat the pipes.......gets pricey but worth it.....I put my turbo in the back of the car because I wanted to keep my A/C.......maybe one of these days I'll put it up front but right now too projects and not enough time......and I know what you're saying about that Arizona heat.....my god!!!!! It gets hot there!!!
I think your better off with one, big momma turbo.
How much power are you looking for?
Mounted in the front or back... turbos can make a boat load of power.
If your budget is big... go here:

they have superchargers too.
I know alot of supra guys switch from the stock twin turbo setup to a single turbo setup becuase they can make more top end power.
While 2 turbos are nice... Its gonna cost you more to install and tune.
You might want a sc if you want to do the exhaust to be a particular way (like true duels, LT headers).
For me... that stuff doesnt matter. I just like the speed. :zoom:
well there are also bottom twin kits. APS makes one that has the turbo's at the bottom of the manifolds but higher than the oil pan that way it is a gravity drain system. I am getting one for my f-bod, but they also make them for c5 vettes. There is some other company too, but i don't know the name off the top of my head.
