fast mercedes

so i got out of work the other day and pull up to the light and some big four door mercedes pulls up and asks if my car is any fast so i tell him a little. as we are talking the light turns he punches it and i punch it. he got about a length out of the hole and it stayed that way up to about a 100. the car must have been all wheel drive it never cherpt, squealed, nothin and i couldn't really him in. i think the car might have said s550 or somthing like that but i'm not really sure, do any of you guys know of a sedan mercedes that would out run a LS1??????

If your car is stock, all of the new 550 engines ie. (e550,s550,cls550,clk550) should give a LS1 a run for your money. Any 2003 and newer V8 AMG Merc. both the supercharged 5.5 or the aspirated 6.3 should definately pull away easily.

I ran against an E55 at the track last year and it was pretty close but I had a better ET on both runs. She ran a 12.8@109 to my 12.4@108. There are some fast ones out there. Ive heard the newer E55's can trap around 116MPH but I don't know how accurate that is.

Yea, there are a few Merc's that will out run a LS1:itsok: AMG, always look for that. I watched a silver one run 11s all day back in March. You never EVER would have guessed it.

anything amg should out run you. we are taking my boss's amg cls63 to the track in two weeks ill share what he gets. its fast got that 6.3 in it.

There are plenty of VERY fast Mercedes out there. They look relatively docile, are quiet on the street, ride like a dream and can still smoke the vast majority of the cars on the road today. The AMG version is essentially an already fast car on steroids.....it would take a bunch of mods to pull one pretty hard.

It's funny because when I'm cruising on the highway I'm typically looking to run into other sporty cars that are understood to be quick (Corvette, Mustang, WRX, etc.).....however, I probably pass by a much larger number of Mercedes sedans that could hurt my feelings if they wanted to race.

yep. it is fast! i have ran down lambos twice in it by half of a car! kinda funny i just bought a 06 gto and he drove it. he said he could not tell the deference in the ride or handling, though it was not as fast! go gto!!!

Ya, I've seen a Mercedes 5-something at the local track here a couple times. Big 4 door sedan, silent, etc. I wouldn't suspect a thing, but he floated down the track, running mid-low 12's all day, every time he's out there. Amazing, no exhaust sound, no chirping tires, nothing.

Sounds like a E55 AMG. I've driven those before, supercharged V8. It's pretty fast. Faster than a stock, or slightly modified LS1. The E55 lags a little, but then the S/C kits in and you feel the speed. For $100,000 it better go that fast....

Twin turboed stroker, Dana 60, 300 shot, nice ass paint job, custom leather interior. Still have 50 K left over to knock a dent in the ole mortgage!

Since you're racing SOON....Fastest, easiet, cheapest way you could beat him with a stock WS6..... 125 shot of NOS, slicks, and lose a lot of extra weight in the car. I am pretty sure you would win. Good luck. Kick some german ass!
