Umm....
Edelbrock makes a set up that is perfect for this-includes everything you need to convert the engine over to carb including the ignition conversion. They also make a couple of matched cams for this set-up.Hope you don't have to worry about emissions control testing anymore.Otherwise sounds cool to me.
thanx bro
Does that kit include if iam taking my LT1 engine out and replacing it with a 350 chevy that is already carbruated?????
No, that kit is to convert the LS1 over to a carb. Funny, I am doing basicly the same thing, except I'm taking a V6 camaro over to a carb'd small block. I see everyone doing expensive conversions to LS1 and the such, I'm going cheap. For you, you really shouldn't need to do much. You can keep your stock computer in the car (not that it will do you much good), and you'll just need to wire the engine to your ignition. You should be able to use your stock p/s bracket and pump, and possibly your trans even. Not real sure on the Pontiac. Good luck.Quote:

Jegs has the manifold and an msd setup to carbureate your ls1. Jegs part # 7118. I was going to do the same thing, but a bit too pricey.
Isn't 94 an LT1?
sorry about that, I'm not really a chevy person, just trying to get this project done. Of course, Lt1.
Just thinking that should make it somewhat less complex. If swapping in a completely different engine, and a manual trans. it should be a piece of cake. If an auto trans, I would look into transmission controls in the PCM.
