M/T et streets

Im considering taking off my M/T radials and going to 26x10.5 ET street slicks. How much better do you guys think I could hook on the slicks vs. the radials on the street?
Im a little slower than alot of the cars out around here and I was thinking if I could get out the hole and be able to hit the bottle a little quicker and HOOK I would have the upper hand on a bunch of the higher hp cars that have problems putting it to the ground.

What size radials do you have? I think the ET street 26/10.5 are probably smaller than what your using.

Thats funny cause ALL of use out here can put more NITROUS out the gate with the drag radials than with the ET streets.
Your running stock springs and shocks still.......?
Also how much pressure are you runing with the drag radial? Size? Wheel?

still all stock suspension and Im running 255/50's on my stock 16" wheels. Ive had people tell me to run anywhere from 18 tp 28psi but I really dont want to drop the pressure that much being a radial...What kind of pressure you guys run in them?
My stock suspension is probally hurting me.I watched a vid of me at the track and my car dont look like its transfering weight all that good.
A guy here has stock suspension with hoosier quick time pro's on his z28 and it hooks like he's taking off on super glue...

I run my MT's at 14-15 PSI on the track.

Man that's flyin'. '02 Camaro SS with just bolt on stuff i'm consistantly doing 12.5 and high 112's. Any idea how much horspower that would equate to?

Why not just go with 28" x 11.50" x 16"

You will need adjustable LCA's to move the rearend forward to make room.

You may also have to massage the wheel wells a little.

Thanks for the heads up. If and when I go to a complete rear assy and 4:11's, I probably might go that route. Right now it's in mid 12's w/bolt on stuff. I like it being somewhat deceptive and I can drive it anywhere, comfortably. Sam

The drag radials work even better! The car stays way more straight on the big end too.

I wish I actually used all my power.
My dyno numbers are corrected for altitude.
My track times are not.
Huge difference when the track is 5800 feet up. :lol:

I only run them at the strip. Have them mounted on a spare set of 1999 aluminum 16" Z28 wheels. I haven't used them yet because adjustable LCA's and relocation brackets are required to center the rear in the wheel well so that the tires won't rub when they expand while going down the track. For a mid-12 second car you'd be better off with the M/T Radials, but I am planning on going heads (CNC Ported Stage II LS6) and cam (228/232 or 236/242). That's why I went with the M/T ET STREET now. Should be putting down 415RWHP/400RWTQ easy after the cam-swap and 430RWHP/415RWTQ (conservative estimate). I'll have to upgrade the clutch/rear as well. Should be a mid-11 second car then :devil:
