Does Anyone Have The Same Problem. With Their T-56 Tranny..?? When You Are In 5th Or 6th Sometimez 4th.. Gear.. At Around 40 To 55mph I Notice A Whinning Noise Coming From The Tranny.. To Me It Sounds Like A Pilot Bearing.. Its Just So Noisey..?? Has Anyone Had The Same Problem..??
My trans whine's pretty noticeably in 6th gear - and only 6th - but I don't think its anything to worry about. I think it has to do with the fact that 6th is a .50 ratio, which means the output shaft is spinning twice as fast as the input shaft. Thats a big difference in RPM, which is probably what causes the whining noise, 6th gear is spinning very fast.Quote:

Its normal. You should have heard mine at a 90m.p.h. highway cruise yesterday. It was whinning non stop.
