I was surfing the BMR website and saw that they have a battery relocation mount that puts the battery where the spare tire goes. sounds pretty slick to me, but how hard would it be to get all the electrical back there?

Not that hard but why would you do that.
Yah I know that but its not necessary.
Your point?
His point is that every little bit counts. Whats with the questions?
On my supercharged 89 formula, my battery was moved to the rear and it wasnt really reliable. I had to get a bigger battery and thicker battery cables to transmit power to the starter. Even after that, if the car was hot, the car would still sound horrible when turning the engine over. Always made me feel uncomfortable on dates. I guess if I were to do it again, Id get an Optima battery.
I wonder though...if its a pain for power to get from the battery to the starter, then I would assume that it would be a pain for the alternator to charge the battery...
Oh and I didnt have any high tech stereo equipment.
Transporting weight from the front to the rear.
Setting it up properly (unlike mine).
Seems like a valid point to me. Sure, he could do other things instead cuz this doesnt NEED to be done, but to him maybe it does? Maybe he wants to get a good time without making power mods. You know some assholes on this board have done that.
The under hood looks better without it there also.
Please knock off the name calling guys. There's no such thing as a stupid question either.
Its not a stupid question considering he does have a hard-top.
well for us lt1 guys...if we wanted to upgrade with say a msd ignition control module, where the battery sits is a good place to put it
I just thought it'd be cool to have the battery all hidden in the back. kinda like how some of the old muscle cars could be ordered. but I doubt I'll be doing it since I just drive around town. I can't afford to race my car. one ticket and I can't afford insurance. after all, I'm 18 and I live in California.
ya, I'm suprised I haven't been pulled over yet. I did get the cops called on me for doing burnouts tho. some old lady complained and they came and started looking at my car. I told them it was my dads and I wasn't used to driving such a powerful car and the wheels slipped. and that the old lady hated me. they let me off with a warning but gave me the old good cop-bad cop. one kept talking about doing burnouts in his Camaro while the other kept threatening to do a citizens arrest. they kept saying "what would your dad do if he knew you were driving like that in his car, this car is awesome, it's probably his baby." little did they know, I was the one getting the compliment. :yup: :Ot: oh ya, I forgot to say, I'm insured under a VW van, and my car is insured under my dad. that's how I afford it.
