Hello, ive still got some unwanted noise , rattling, etc coming from my door speakers in my 2000 camaro, although my doors are pretty well dynamated. I remember that the little holder that the speakers sit in are only screwed into the door with 3 screws (2 on one side and 1 on the other) That just doesnt seem like enough to me to keep it from vibrating. Should i consider making a new speaker holder or maybe just add some more screws to hold it as tightly into place as i can.
It's not the door speaker grilles rattling maybe?
Actually yes, they do rattle when the volume gets turned up. Very annoying. What should i do about that? I've considered taking them off but then theres not really any protection for the speaker.
My drivers side grille was rattling a few years ago, putting pressure on it going down the road stopped it. Took the door panel off, removed the grille, applied some window weather stripping to it (the good thick stuff, sticky on one side) then popped it back in. Can't remember the exact size, thinking it was 1/2".
Take the black piece out and seal it up with silicone.
