Has anyone had the stinger on thier SS hood painted?

A lot of people refer to it as the Manta stripe as well.
Yes sir I am. Is it hard for a body shop to paint just that part of the hood? Or do they have to sand the down the entire hood and repaint the whole hood?
Another question I have is about the Berger panel, is it difficult as well to have painted?
The Berger panel is an easy do-it-yourself project, to keep your sanity, buy a spare panel for $20 from a salvage yard or ebay.
The Manta stripe really varies, a lot of shops will only paint the main portion, and not the pinstripes running along the sides of the raised portion. Another alternative is buying a decal for it online, and having it professionally applied and clearcoated in. Most shops will paint for $300, and decal/clearcoat for $150. I'd suggest finding a good shop and having it painted, but make sure you're specific on what you want! This is after all the hood of your car.
