does anyone know if it is possible to put one cutout on an x pipe
It would be possible but really wouldn't make any sense. You wouldn't run with one open header would you?
what year bird ya got? if its newer there isnt an x pipe unless you put em on and if you did that was a task.
i ahve a 99 30th anniversary and just got kooks headers installed with an x pipe aand i got a qtp electronic cutout that should be delivered tomorrow and i was curious if any one had heard of an xpipe with only one cutout... i ordered it before i realized that i got rid of my jet hot y-pipe
dude really - think about it, the point of a x pipe is to balance the exhaust flow/pulses, to maximize power and torque, if you put just one, you would be defeating the balance, if you put two, then you would still have some sort of benefit.. one just doesnt make sense unless you are running a Y pipe- read up on all the x, h pipe threads you can, and see if it makes sense.. i think you will find and that most will agree with me on this one..
if I were going to run an x - heres what I would do... put the cutouts before the x where the cats used to be, or get your cats flanged, so you can swap in pipes with cutouts... then put the x then run into hooker aero chamber mufflers and dump before the rear axle.. you can run all the way to the back, but thats a little more pricey... up to you though..
hope ive been of some help
