My brother was looking into a Texas Speed Magic Stick 4, 239/242 649"/609" 111 lobe sep. He has a 01' SS, m6. He travels in his car from time to time and was wondering if he'll still be able to with this cam. Thanks guys.

so is he doing heads with this cam as well.. stockers wont handle that much lift
yeah, I was refering to mileage, and I'm pretty sure he's doing the heads. I'll ask to be sure.
the lift numbers just keep going up and up. :D Whatever happened to the 224/224 cam days??? :D
In my opinion, that's a monster cam more in tune with the weekend warrior racer.
Not a good choice for a daily driver, or a traveler.
Way too much, unless he does heads/springs/retainers, ..., the whole ball of wax, ..., & then just uses it for fun.
And mileage would suck, ...
I went with a .610 lift for that reason. I do drive around in the GTO....you get monster fricking funny car cams and the experience sucks driving those things around town and down the highway....
The other side of the discussion tells us a good tuner can tune anything and make it streetable....but that is a fricking monster cam not built for highway cruising at all....try and match the hardware to the desired driving environment. Heads and valve assembly to match that cam is a must and not an option.
