why some guage clusters are different

i have 02 z28. i want to put white faced guages in it but im looking for the plastic bezel to add on it casue mine dooesnt have one. in my 99 trans am i had it but on my z28 its like missing. Can a 02 trans am cluster fit on z28 what can i do?
all im looking for is the piece that circles around all the guages and directly behind the lens
