The short story is I needed to buy a Super 8mm film projector for some old family home movies from the 70's. I need to see what is on each reel so I can categorize and label the reels before I send them to a company that transfers them to DVD. Once they are transfered, I have no need for the projector. Well, obviously they don't make Super 8mm projectors anymore, so I checked eBay. (I found some on the web for sale, but they were between $400-$800). Ebay had lots of them so I bid on one and lose in the last seconds (by $1.00 - what a cheap bastard!) Anyway, I see two more 'good' ones and decide to bid on both. I win the first, and then I'm panicing because it is looking like I am going to win the second also (I set a pretty high max bid). I really don't want two of these dinasaurs! Well, someone just over bid my max, and my first reaction is to over bid him - I don't even want the projector, but it is just so fun to watch the bidding!
