I think about 137 mph in a 99 trans am once. Just late at night no one around.
Although, I've moved alot faster... once I was going around 380 mph, but that was in an airplane on my way to Florida.
i went 147 on my way to south padre island whith 4 people it the car and the t-tops off windows down. i almost wrecked. was stupid. i have went faster in a friend race car but dont know how fast we were going. i wouldnt like to lie i think it was about 200+Quote:

I have had several cars well north of 160mph. A Diablo, 911TT, 360 Modena, Mercedes E55 AMG (limiter removed). I had my R1 to a speedo indicated 205mph but on a motorcycle that was probably more like 180 or so.
Gone up to about 145mph until traffic appeared in a race with one of the newer sporty caddys, never saw which model it was exactly but it surprised me, although it never got in front of me.
Only maxed it out once cause I was angry after losing a grand at the casino, pinned it at 155+ for a few miles, next day came out and had no power steering, blew the pump for some reason so I don't do that anymore.
Not positive but I am going to guess about 150. I had a supercharged 89 mustang and the speedo only goes to 140. The needle was way past that.
ive had the camaro to about 135-140 with the stock gears, my 05 gsxr 750 has been to 165
130-135 t-tops off and windows down with the girlfriend, kind of scary wont go that fast again with no tops

Been over 150 miles an hour over 100 times in numerous cars. Back home we used to build hiway monsters. Remember the old cars with hiway gears. 75 Cordoba rank 12:1 440 would do 150 mph uphill. 73 challenger Done 340 7000 rpm in fourth 3:23 gears and 255 60 R 15s. Speed unknown very fast. 89 gta was very unstable over 145 mph. This ls1 hiway monster has been over 150 more then once. If this sixth gear was shorter I bet this car could touch 180.
130. In a v6 car. 1995 Probe gt 5 speed.
130 is cookin when you are on a freeway. I had two buddys with. I would never go in and out of traffic at that speed though.
If I want to see how fast the 87 Trans Am with the Ls1/t 56 swap is, I will go to the track.
about 145 down the highway just messing around w/ my buddy in his WRX needless to say, he took a while to catch up after I let off. :zoom:

well this question was not specific to cars i hit over 300 mph 4 times on tuesday
flying to california and back.:moon: on the ground has been a little over 170
in a very beefy 94 mustang supercharged with 275 shot of nos. it didnt feel very stable.
Yesterday, as a matter of fact, some crazy fucktard was riding my ass and I swear, tried rear ending my Camaro. The wife was like WTF is this guy doing?! I told her I didn't know and that I was going to let him pass. Well, he didn't. Must've thought it'd be more fun to play dumbass games with me. We were on a 70 mph highway and I slowed to 50 to get him to just pass and go away. When he didn't I'd had enough. I took every gear but sixth to 6k. The last time I looked down I was passing 140 and I was still in it for a little while.
so far 135mph on my 06 stang GT while cruising with chicagoland mustang club on our way to byron dragway!
