Power drivers seat
My left front stud came out. GM wants 500 + bucks for just the carriage. Looks like the stud fell out but I don't see it. Looks like I can remove the seat and use a 1 1/2 inch 5/16 carriage bolt in its place. Anyone know how to remove the seat ? The 2 back floor bolts are easy to see and reach but are the 2 fronts under the plastic trim and if so how do you remove it ? My seat rocks and the power consol is floatin in the air.:cuss:

is it the stud to the floorboard? if so just move the seat back to access the bolts on the front. also when it is out check to see if the floor was torn. my brothers mustangs floor tore when it went and he had a friend reweld the stud back in.

No it was the "stud" to the carriage to the seat frame, not the floor. Got it done, when I pulled the seat I found the bolt GM said was a stud that was part of the carriage assembly. BS tried to sell me the whole assembly. had to cut a grove into the inner plastic housing to slip it back on but you can't see it. Nice not to drive around in a rocking chair.
