There was a thing on the news here where I live while ago.

Guy got caught on one... doing 210 mph on the freeway

They found him 1 mile away from where he crashed.... well part of him.

He caught a crosswind on the free way which blew him into the concrete median seperating the opposite bound highway.

I suppose all they needed was a broom and a dust pan?

Another guy I heard about back in michigan... was apex'ing an exit ramp on his at about 80-90 mph... coincidently, they found his body, and the bike.. but his head was sitting by the telephone pole.

The suspension wires holding the telephone poles to the ground, decapitated him.

I bet nobidy here would thing twice about mashing the throttle in their respective LS powered car.

the fact of the matter is that while it is very dangerous, it was in the middle of the day on a wide open freeway with zero traffic. I think he is a moron but I am not going to condemn him for something that I have done.

I have some great pics of an accident that I had to respond to where a guy pulled a whellie on a CBR1000RR and lost control at 94mph. He fell to the side and hit head-first on a tree in the center median. the tree was about 8" in diameter and he snapped it in half. And the tree that was bout 6' past that. His head was split open and leaking brain parts all over Wilshire BLVD.

the diff between mashing the throttle in my TA vs. a Busa or comparable, is that if i do hit a tree, the chances of me surviving are much greater, then on a bike. Just my opnion though, i could be wrong.....and if i do die in thew crash, i will atleast be able to have an open casket funeral. :seesaw:

No, its not. He peaks at 220ish mph. Look at the inner ring. You can clearly see that right above the 40 mph mark the inner ring reads 70. The inner ring is in KPH. The outer ring is mph. But note that the neadle buries itself just past 210 and doesnt move anymore.


A stock busa peaks at about 187mph. Sport Rider boosted one and found that it took over 240hp to get the bike to top 200mph. It takes over 500hp to break 230 iirc. 250 would be like deep in the 6 second mark and would take a ridiculous amount of power to accomplish.

One thing you need to know about crotch rockets... and I know from riding snowmobiles for 15 years.

at over 120mph

A motor cycle has a VERY high profile/ center of gravity/ all in all alot of wind resistance.. what do you honestly think would happen if you went on your crotcher at 140mph and do a wheelie?

I'll send my condolences to your family if you post your address.... It's the least I could do.

FYI, i don't care how much horsepower it takes... to get that fast.. I know you will not live through a 140mph wheelie.

And please correct me if I'm wrong.. but I'd love to see a video of it.

Would love to shake the guys hand who pulls it off.. assuming it's still attached to his body.
