does any of you who has a vert not have a garage ..... Any stories about this ...
I keep mine in the garage in the winter stays out in summer. we have 7 rigs and the '67 always stays in the 1st bay and there's always a rig on the lift in the other bay
inside in the winter because its off teh road but outside most of the time in season
sometimes i get a decent sized puddle behiend the pass seat on teh floor from a mysterious leak
mine has stayed out side for the past year. It was garaged before that in Cali. Never any problems with it. I just found this product for cleaning the top:http://www.afterthoughtsauto.com/rafakit.html
had mine outside for 2 years, except during winter.
never had issues.
Mine is the "summer ride", meaning I dont drive it in the rain and it stays in the garage year round. I've only had it four months, sorry to say the previous owners didn't take care of it too well. My goal is to get it back to like new condition.
Mine stays in the garage year round with the top down. The only time it has seen moisture is when I wash it!!! Of course, this is easy to do in Arizona.
My car stays in all year and gets driven on nice days and to shows. My top still has a few dirt marks that soap and water can't seem to do anything with, may need some of the good stuff lol.
Car is the garage all the time only use it when daily driver is down or when its nice outside.
I kept mine outside for almost 3 years, it's garaged now. I didn't really have any problems other than a very minor leak during heavy rain storms.
On a side note, my vert is my daily driver while my hardtop is the "nice weather" toy.
Mine stays inside and is only driven on nice days. The top stays down from March thur November. I do drive it during the winter months just to feel the extra HP due to the cold air.
I'm lucky enough to have a heated garage to store my vert. Driven on sunny days only and hasn't seen any water in 4 years now. I keep it clean by using a California duster and Zanio products.:yup: ....Now disaster has struct, some bastad stole my DD:ripped: :ar: and now I need to scramble for a replacement vehicle!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mine has stayed outside for the past 2 years. Worst thing that happens to it is that the neighbor hood cats love to use the top as a bed. Pawprints and sand are left behind.. lil bastards are lucky they havent used it as a scratching post or I'd have lost it.
:uzi:
maybe you need to leave them a drink on the roof.
I hear the old green stuff works.
I bought my vert before I bought my house with a garage so I either left it in my friends pole barn or at my parents house with two car covers on it. My mom would kid with me and say "time to cover up your car and put it to bed" when I left it at home! Now it barely ever comes out of the "bat cave" except for special occasions.
