Accidents from driving through red lights

I saw that on Yahoo's homepage a few hours after observing the aftermath of what probably was a red-light collision. One vehicle was badly damaged, and the other ended up on a business's property. I didn't see anyone who looked hurt. I myself had a close call there months ago when trying to beat the light. I've never actually had a crash from that. Uh, don't be dumb, and like the article says watch for people being dumb. Edit: my guess is the trend is mostly from vehicles that accelerate faster than their predecessors, making drivers overconfident.
