SOLD 2000 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS6 - $3000
For sale is a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6. This is the highly-sought after, last iteration of the fourth generation firebirds, with the famed 5.7L LS1 engine, auto 4L60E transmission, with t-tops. 177,000 miles. Clean title, obviously.
The good.
When the engine is running, it runs like a top. We recently replaced the valve cover and manifold gaskets, and everything we could see looked like the day it rolled off the assembly line. The transmission, also, runs 100%, recently changed the fluid and filter. No major rust, solid floor pans, ttops do not leak, etc.
New or new-ish:
• water pump
• alternator
• power steering pump
• radiator & hoses
• plug wires
• trans fluid and filter
• valve cover gaskets
• manifold gasket
• fuel filter
• 2 new tires (rear), fresh alignment, other two tires decent
• rebuilt headlight motors (I did it, so you will never have to!)
Upgrades/mods (over $1,000 new):
• SLP lid
• lower control arms
• subframe connectors
• strut tower brace
• panhard rod
• HID headlight conversion kit, 10k bulbs
The bad.
We recently diagnosed it with a likely head gasket leak. Coolant is getting into #7 cylinder. This caused the starter to break, from the strain of trying to compress a cylinder with fluid in it. So it will need those fixed. It will also need a new coolant overflow reservoir (have a new one I will include), current one is cracked but functional. The AIR system is currently disconnected, it needs a new air diverter valve to put that back in shape. The car also has been throwing a code for an o2 sensor. Other than that, everything to my knowledge is mechanically sound.
The body is in good overall condition. There is one small hole in the right front fender. A couple of minor dents, scrapes, etc. Otherwise the body is nice, paint is still very nice. Inside is in fair condition, wear to be expected from the age. There are no rear seats or seatbelts, but instead a custom made (by me) German Shepherd size carpeted platform -- much better than rear seats if you ask me. There is also a spot with no rear carpet under the platform.
Asking $3,000/negotiable.
Car is at a local repair shop in NORTHERN VIRGINIA, and can be seen during normal business hours, Mon-Sat.
With broken starter, car can probably be started and driven a short distance, or onto a trailer.
