Saw it as it unfolded. Rhonda just looked too angry to be concentrated on fighting. She looked like an angry sibling that was not thinking clearly and she chased her too hard.
I have no knowledge of MMA, just what I thought I saw. It was hard to watch.
Yup. After about 30 seconds in I knew Rhonda was in trouble to some degree. She got frustrated and did exactly what Holly wanted her to. I respect Rhonda as a fighter, but I'm sorry, you're stupid if you think you can beat a champion boxer standing up. She excels on the ground and that's what she should have went for. Holly showed great patience, defense, and striking technique. Sad Rhonda lost, but she needed to be humbled.

I don't think Rhonda's fights have been a good draw on pay per view. Everybody (before this fight) assumed it would be another first round KO. I imagine that now they can talk up the rematch and the both of them will make bank. I'm not saying Rhonda would ever lose on purpose though. She's got so much pride that I don't think she could do it. That being said, there would be plenty of motive. Imagine if she had friends or "associates" of hers place bets on Holm in Vegas on this last fight, considering the odds.
I'm sure there will be a next fight. And in that fight, I doubt we see Rousey try to box it out with someone that is clearly a better striker. She better hope that fight goes to the ground or she's going to get her ass kicked again. Rousey isn't suddenly going to become a good enough boxer to compete with Holm in a standup fight.
Damn those were some solid hits.
I cringed when I saw that head kick connect :eek: that was as real as it gets!

Grappling is great...but if you square up against a boxer who knows what they are doing you are going to have a bad day and Rhonda just learned that lesson.
With tons of drama in her camp and the iv band ( she was slurring her words at weight in) plus holly sand bagging= huge upset ...but I will say Jackson don't train fighters to fight, he trains on a point system. Holly just was to much
