My Newest Addition
My father in law and fiancé decided they didn't have the time, effort, or patience with the 79 El Camino Conquista that she has. They decided to give it to us because they said they know we'll take care of it. The wife has her 77 F100 and the Cooper so she said she doesn't want it and both of my sons say they would rather spend their time and money on their own cars (87 Fiero GT and 69 F100 respectively) so by default it goes to me for free! It's an all original unmolested Conquista model with the 305 and working AC. The car runs and drive good, just needs shocks asap. The body has very little rust and none of it is through and through just surface in the typical spots. The interior is rough but it is a clean and solid car. For now I will restomod the interior, pep the 305 a tad until I get my stroker/powerglide built for my Camaro, then the LS1/4L60 and ZR1 rims/tires will go on the ElCo. 3.73's, a nice system in the smugglers hold, cowl hood and a respray in a solid color, trim removal from the sides are all in the plans. Can't wait to get started! Too many damn projects!
