Does the hurst firebird M6 shift linkage fit the tremec in the GTO?

It should. Both cars have the T56 trans.

What 'linkage' are you talking about? There is a hydraulic line that runs to the slave from the master and that is the only external component. I believe the gto t56 has the shifter mounted farther back but any t56 shifter lever should still mate to the tranny

Give it a shot. You'll need a lever from a B&M shifter for a GTO as our cars' center console sits further back than the 4th gen shifter.
