Budget Cuts!!

How is it affecting you?

I am in the Military, I currently am a Sergeant in the Army.

Job Title:
2nd in command of a brigade motor pool.
Military Funeral Honors

Effects:
Government Fuel cards do not work
No money to order parts for downed vehicles
Technician jobs are being cut in half
No tuition assistance for any schools
Medical costs are going to double if not more
160 military funerals for veterans are being cut per month(Which they deserve if they served the country).
Annual Training-No ammunition can be ordered cannot afford, might not get paid to even train to standard which we can not since we can not afford the training.
I have to keep my soldiers encouraged and make sure that morale is not effected.
Will not be ready for National Disasters IE Hurricanes, tornado's, Floods,nor will we be put on orders to help civilians during times of crisis.
New Equipment- psshhh who are you kidding
Extra Schools- haha we don't even know if we can even have teachers to teach your kids in any grade level from Pre-k to High school.

Pro's
Day after sequestration we send 250 million to the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood
As any congressman, Senator, House of Representative, President etc we get to keep all of our free medical and our 6 plus figure pay.
We get to keep raising gas prices on you
We impose double taxes on Military on top of all the other stuff we have taken from them.
We get to help me Mr. Obama go on as many trips to Hawaii, golf trips, Brazil and many more vacations as I please.
We let EBT go to strip clubs to use there cards.
Illegal Immigrants there is no such thing if they vote for me they are definitely citizens
All military will be downsized by half that will teach those veterans to not protect there country.
I will impose as many taxes on this country and take all your freedoms including to bare arms and your freedom of speech cause they could cause you to get hurt, even tho felons still carry fully automatic weapons and drug cartels have Military weapon capabilities.


Yup I think this about sums everything up what a great country I live in and fought in a combat zone for to make sure these bastards sleep well at night. Please add to or if you wish take away from this post input/thought?

cuts the military benefits but doesn't cut illegal immigrant tuition assistance. plenty to cuts can be made to the layabouts in our society. Ben Franklin said it best when he said " the best way to help people out of their poverty is to make them uncomfortable in it"

I picked the right time to get out.

Left the Marine Corps yesterday, and although I had planned on it, I still didn't have much choice.

Re-enlistment cut down to almost nothing for everything except "high value" jobs. (UAV, MARSOC, Counterintelligence, and a few crazy airwing mechanic jobs).

About half field grade (Capt and below) officers are getting forced out, at least in the infantry.

Marines lost their Tuition Assistance (other branches still have theirs though).

No budget to procure weapons. We have guys using old M16s instead of M4s. SAWs that are falling apart instead of IARs. As a Designated Marksman, I was stuck with an old Mk12 that was so worn that my suppressor wouldnt even screw on, instead of getting a new EMR.

Commissaries (and possibly px's) are supposed to be closing an extra day out of every week.

Only way we can get any money is to train Saudi Arabian troops (which my unit is doing right now).

Army doesn't have tuition assistance either anymore. Buddy of mine lost his today :(

I've said from the get go any cut to the military is bull shit. Of course any lib I know loves to argue how much over spending is in dod but no need for welfare refor... Dumbasses :brick:

i got out in 2009 i was in the marine corps 2nd AA B and i heard about this yesterday and i must say its out of control, Now im worried that the same thing is going to happen to the vets. As in cuts to the Veterens Affairs and effect us that are out and more important the retired VETS

i've been in the guard for 16 years, just signed my papers for a 6 reenlistment to get me to 22. haven't heard from the unit about it and that was three months ago. i'm afraid that they will cut people like me from enlisting so they save on the retirement and benefits

You need to take up this issue with Obama. He's the guy that thought this shit up. He's the guy that pushed the issue to this point. He's the guy that can redirect the cuts to other places but he put in a memo that he wants American's to feel the pain of disagreeing with the dictator Obama. He's an anti American socialist

Man I will tell you what, every time I have seen him questioned about any major subject or even the Benghazi attacks/if he would switch to obama care plan. He completely ignores every question or he beats around the bush so he doesn't have to admit the truth.

I have been in for 7 years with a tour in Baghdad as well as doing full time Military Funeral honors for the western region of my state. I actually have close ties with technicians and all the BS they are having to deal with now. They are doing a last hired first fired deal, and they are forced to take a 22 unpaid days and they can not be consecutive so they can't get orders anywhere else. But the last time I checked once you sign your new contract it is locked in, that is how it was for me and that was less than 2 years ago. If worse comes to worse IG complaint...
