SLP MAFS are crap if thats what you mean, and look for a PTM or Nick Williams (NW) Throttle Body
I use the Nick Williams 90mm throttle body with the stock maf and stock bellows. (it all fits) The PTM 90 tb is noce too and will save a little $.

Leave the maf alone and just pick up a 90mm tb...Id stay away from fast though, atleast the older ones
Save your money and either keep the stock MAF or get the car Speed Density Tuned (instead of tuning off the MAF, you tune the car using the MAP or Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor).
The FAST90s liked to leak air. FAST fixed this problem with the FAST92s and carried it over the the FAST102s.
I always read the problem with the FAST 90 tbs was the blades would get stuck open...
Fast 90s usually need re sealed if they havent been already.
If it was me I would do
Fast Toys 85mm Lid
04 Z06 85mm mass air
NW 90mm Tb
Ohh. Haven't had any problems with mine, yet. (knocks on wood)
So you're not having any issues with your FAST 102? I've been looking into these a lot lately but I don't want to get one if it is going to give me problems.
Why do you say that slp are garbage? I read alot of threads about people complaining about them but none actually giving a reason why. Most of the issues are the resistors inside the maf which can be fixed in 2 mins, But the slp maf is actually a delphi maf with just a sticker over it. I have and know ALOT of people that have had slp maf and not have one issue with them.
Ya see that's why I wasn't so sure about them. I'd probably be better off going with an ls6 intake which is much cheaper
The MAF's got a bad rap (not just the SLP's) because people were just throwing them on and running with them.
Idealy you need to re-tune the MAF tables for any aftermarket or Delphi MAF to work properly for each application. People just aren't doing that and simply blame the MAF for their problems. It has since become internet folklore.
I agree with LS1camino, go SD tune and drop that MAF completely. I never understood the larger intakes and throttle bodies and then running the small 75mm MAF. Just doesn't make sense to me.
I personally would run the larger MAF with the larger FAST intake (choose your poison) and have the car tuned properly, or completely delete the MAF all together. It's one less electronic device to worry about.
I got a 85mm Z06 MAF off E-bay for $40 shipped then coupled to a 22* smooth bellow with a FTP lid. And finally a FAST 92/92 ported and port matched. The port matching from the factory on the FAST intakes is HORRIBLE, I spend two days on this alone. Then cleaning up all the casting marks on the base and shell took another day sanding to an 800 grit finish. Powdercoated SOM for some bling!
