Caprice PPV

so by now it's old news that the caprice will return to north america as a police vehicle. and it's relatively old news that gm is "considering" selling the car to the civilian market as well due to the large number of interest queries. well now i know the going rate. found out tonite that the caprice ppv v8 will be sold for about $26,000 equipped.

sooo...we can assume that a v8 civilian version would sell for roughly $30k with a v6 model in the mid $20k's...probably on par with what the G8 sold for in it's various iterations.

just thought i'd share.

I hope they do, and I really hope they do a better job marketing it than they did with the g8.

Saw a YouTube video on that car and I gotta say I liked the look of the G8 more and will probably rather buy a used G8 in the near future here

oh no doubt the g8 looked way better, IMO gm waited too long to make the move of reintroducing a rear wheel drive sedan platform. This topic just gets to me as I have a strong dislike of all the fwd blandness that gm has produced for the last few decades

Saw two Chevy Caprice PPVs a few days ago down the street from where I might be working. Already black and white. They were at a sign shop ready to have their markings put on. Looked pretty nice. The G8 is supposed to return in either 2013-14 as the Chevy Lumina SS.

This is what the Holden VE Commodore currently looks like as a Chevy. Ours will be the upcoming VF Commodore:

Yea there are sold as Luminas and caprices in other countries and have been for a while. personally I want this one

I have a red one as my laptop wallpaper. My father is in love. He liked the G8...until I showed him pics of the Clubsport R8, GTS and W427. He said if he were to ever buy a used G8, he wants me to install the HSV parts. :lol:

haha nice. I was trying to get my buddy to do the same with his g8 but some dumb bitch t-boned him at an intersection, now he drives a tdi jetta :lol:
