Extreme Couponing
Are you kidding me with this!? Has anyone seen the tv show on this? My wife was watching it this morning so i checked it out. This chick had over $1200 in 4 grocery carts, and only paid 103 bucks. WOW!! It seems like a pain in the ass for all the front work for this, but well worth it in the end.

no its not....because these people are buying 40 pounds of cat food, when they have no cat, and 95 tubes of tooth paste.
some of the extreme ones have built extra rooms onto their houses with stockpiles of things they will never use...a select few donate.

Very true. I meant its smart if the people actually do the shopping for shit they need. Average grocery bill for my house is around 300-350 every other week. If my wife had a lot of coupons (cause i wont search for em) on stuff we needed and that 300-350 went to 200 or below. I would be very happy

The show is interesting, and I actually started clipping coupons because of it. As mentioned, the folks on the show are crazy. One person highlighted in the show purchased a cart full of Gatorade. She was 5'2" and looked like she was 250lbs and was gasping for breath as she hit the top of the stairs to her storage room. I don't think hydration and electrolyte replacement are her problem.
Most of the products I use coupons for are household goods like cleaning supplies, paper products. A lot of the food products that coupons are offered on are super unhealthy. If you read the labels, most of them are loaded with sodium or processed sugars. Exceptions are food for long term storage like canned soups and veggies or spaghetti sauce.

Apparently my sister started doing this. I told her she is nuts and has a shelf for extra storage of all this shit. I'm like cool, so you're saving money on stuff you don't need. Sorry but I'll find better things to do with my time.
