HOT ROD and other media competed this weekend in the first-ever JE Pistons NMCA/NMRA West Coast Shootout in Fontana, CA. Check out how we did!This past weekend saw the first-ever JE Pistons NMCA/NMRA West Coast Shootout, presented by Lucas Oil, at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA. Media and Manufacturers ran in their own classes against the general public in the Racers Against Street Racing True Street Challenge. That event saw everything from early model Novas to a brand new Audi SUV. They started with 15 laps around the California Speedway and then three back-to-back runs on the quarter-mile, with no opening of the hoods or any help. It quickly separated the streetable cars from the pure racecars. A speed/stop challenge, Hotchkis suspension autocross, and two separate car shows rounded out the weekend.
