Long Hauler Cars and Group Shot

Two friends made the trip in a '70 Dart. Starting in Pennsylvania, they went a total of 3,899 miles and had a blast. On the trip down to Florida, the right rear leaf spring gave out and dropped the back of the car. The exhaust rubbed and banged on the fabbed rear all the way to Florida. Another friend that works for Advance called ahead and got a pair of coilover shocks shipped to a store in Florida and they swapped them out in the parking lot. This got the back end up a bit, although the car still leaned a little to the right, but they were able to complete the trip to Detroit. They also ended up installing an alternator in western PA on the ride home. Here is their pic at the Long Haulers' event:
