there is someone in town here in lima ohio that has the same body kit on their car im pretty sure it is stock?

Lol I saw it at a Ford dealership.. 45k miles .. asking $12500.. they had a carfax on it and it was clean .. Alabama car ..

maybe you can help me with something .. Sometimes you see one that is full body color , and sometimes it is body color with the top half black... Does anybody know the reason for this .. Is it the T-tops ???

its an option for a black roof. i have a blue one with a black roof

The V8 cars had Black tops and Mirrors, then they quit that after like 2000 or something and I think it became an option

This package is in the brochure for the 2002 camaro.
Its called Sport Appearance Package.
It consists of the lower-body extensions and the odd looking spoiler.

You have a Z28. They all had the black roof unless a vert with a different optioned color fabric.

Z28 DRIVER is correct. 01's and 02's had the "black roof treatment" unless they were verts. When I ordered my car I wanted it to be all NBM, but I could only get the roof in black.

By the way, that roof treatment is glued on and I have already had mine replaced because the glue that GM used causes bubbles in the paint after a few years, at least it did on mine!

Mine just started bubbling this spring. Looks like junk now.
I heard the only way to get rid of it is to reskin the roof?

Yup... Delamination of the roof skin so it has to be removed and a new one has to be installed.

Looks just like Siggy's, and yes that is a stock option.
