Looks good
Yea I seen him drive threw my gate one day, and I was thinking to myself that thing doesn't sound right. He pulled up and I could hear the good ole ls1 tick, so I asked him what he had done to it he told me it had a ls1 with the stage 3 t-56 and a 12 bolt. I asked him how long it took him to do that, he told me he took the easy way out and bought it like that lol. But the tag says rx 5.7 and boy will that damn thing scoot!!
Would love to do this!
I like the rims
That's nice! I've been thinking of getting a miata for the gf to dd untill she gets something else in a year then LS swap with a min of 370 ci :drivin:
I wish I could get some pics of the engine bay for you guys but I don't see the guy very often but I will try when I get a chance to talk to him!!
badass!
Not a great pic as I took it walking by but there is the front end shot it's clean as hell!

awesome, would love to have one!!
I think he told me he paid 35G for it!!
I'd be surprised if it actually had a 12 bolt solid axle under it. I thought most of the FD guys that did LS1 swaps stuck with the stock IRS.
damn thats sick.. nice rims,,
seems like people do the lsx swap more than what i thought,,
the other day at my boys shop they were putting together a 1975 jaguar sedan,, the owner put aan ls1 out of a corvette.. i couldnt resist i took some pics lol
That's my favorite bodystyle. FDRX-7. My old tuner had a red FD with an LS2 in it. He had to tune it. Sitting still...looked stock...but when it fired...oh boy. I would be surprised if it had a solid rear as there are companies building 12 bolt center sections to keep the IRS.
Yea that's how this one is, looks stock with just some nice meaty wheels on it. But damn when he cranks it up you know it's def a v8, I heard him crank it up yesturday from the parking deck. But I don't know if it's a solid rear or the irs set up I haven't really gotten to look the car over nor have I seen under the hood. But here is a video for you it's an older style rx7...

I didnt think this was still that big a deal, there are 7 of them here in NC at least.
Well yes there are alot of rx7s, 240sxs, 80s 944s, supras, mustangs, 300zxs, boxsters, m3s, 3 series, 5 series cars with lsx swaps. But ti is still cool to see and doing it on a 93+ rx7 costs some money. The chassis and body with no tranny or engine is usually 5k.
here's the one my friend did. he just sold it. he lives in the greensboro area.
