I need help.....long story short I a had my hands full and set of the alarm to my car by I guess by pressing the buttons on the remote. Now the horn honks every now and then at random when the car is in the garage. I pulled the battery cable and left it off all night, when I put it back on the next morning it seemed fine but a few hours later it started again. Has anyone experienced this? It is driving me crazy!!!! The car is a 2000 Vette. Please restore my sanity!!!!!!
Not sure what could be setting it off but there is a way to change the sensitivity on the alarm.
I never had any problems until the day I set it off.......it is puzzling me
I will open the remote and check that the rubber is not pinched and its pressing the panic button. Pull the remote battery out and put it back in. Check again. Do you have another remote? If you do re learn the remote and program the other one only to check if it solves your problem. That way you can make sure is a remote issue and not something else in the security system.
